Directions
What are we cooking today?
- Tzatziki is a classic Greek appetiser (or “meze”) made from thick yogurt, cucumber, garlic, olive oil, and fresh dill.
- It’s super simple to make and a hit at any get-together!
Getting started
- Wash the cucumber, lemon, and peel and crush the garlic.
Grate the cucumber leaving the skin on.
Add the cucumber to a bowl with yogurt and crushed garlic.
Pour in olive oil and lemon juice and mix well.
Add lemon peel, freshly chopped dill, black pepper and a pinch of salt. Mix everything together.
Serve immediately or store in the fridge for up to a few days.
Annabelle's tips
Tzatziki is delicious with warm pita bread or in a kabab or with just about anything Greek!
