Ingredients

1 tsp coconut oil

250 g chicken breast sliced

½ cup basmati rice

2 cups broccoli florets

2 carrots sliced

1 cup sugar snap peas

2 tbsp sesame oil
-
2 tbsp Tamari sauce

2 tsp honey

salt and pepper

What are we cooking today?
This dish is a perfect combination of sweet and savoury. As a result kids love it as much as grown ups.
Getting started
- Place the rice with one cup of water in a pot, bring to a boil then cover and reduce to low heat for a further 12 minutes, or until cooked.
Place a pan on medium heat and add the coconut oil.
Add the chicken breast slices and cook until done.
Once the chicken is done add vegetables, cover and allow them to soften.
In a small bowl mix the Teriyaki sauce by combining the sesame oil, Tamari sauce, honey, salt and pepper.
Add the sauce to the pan, mix well and sauté for an additional three minutes.
Plate the rice and Teriyaki mixture together.
Sprinkle with fresh chilli or chilli flakes (optional).
