Ingredients
- 2 cups spinach or lettuce
- 4 oz cooked chicken
- 1 hard-boiled egg, sliced
- ½ cup chopped tomato
- 2 slices cooked bacon, cut into pieces
- ½ avocado, diced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Pinch of salt and pepper
Directions
What are we cooking today?
A good old Cobb Salad, a great way to use up the veggies and present lots of delicious goodness.
Getting started
- Start by washing the spinach and placing it at the base of a salad bowl.
Next place all of the remaining ingredients one by one in a straight line.
Lastly drizzle the olive oil on top and add salt and pepper if desired.
Annabelle's tip
You can obviously add whatever you wish to this dish. I've kept it simple but you can marinade the chicken prior to cooking or add cucumber or any other vegetable. Sweet corn is also a common addition.
