This elegant baked pears recipe only has natural sweeteners and so is the perfect dessert.

Baked pears fill the house with a divine smell, taste wonderful and only use 1 dish. The perfect dessert.
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Grease a 23x33-cm (9x13-inch) baking tray.
Peel, halve and core the pears. Cut the stems also if desired.
Whisk together the vanilla, cinnamon, and melted butter in a bowl.
Glaze the mixture onto both sides of the pears.
Place the glazed pears in the greased baking tray, cut side down with the cinnamon sticks.
Per side, bake until fork-tender, about 25-30 minutes.
With the juices of the pan, baste them every 15 minutes.
Serve warm and with Greek yoghurt, frozen yogurt or our Chocolate Banana Ice-Cream, if desired.
For extra caramelisation, drizzle with coconut or avocado oil.
To enhance the natural sweetness, sprinkle with coconut sugar and maple syrup.
Leaving the stems attached adds an extra layer of elegance for the final presentation.
If you're not a pear fan, you could replace them with Golden Delicious apples.
